About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to manage the end-to-end technical sales process for utility scale energy storage systems in Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing the sales pipeline for battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the region, managing the sales process from initial contact to delivery and handover of projects.

Key Responsibilities
The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for:
  1. Developing, implementing, and monitoring agreed sales strategies, including pricing implementation, and providing clear strategic direction to the sales organization.
  1. Supporting the establishment of long-term relationships with key-accounts and market influencers to understand customer needs and strategic interests.
  1. Developing market intelligence to pursue market growth and deepen market penetration, attracting new customers, applications, and innovations.
  1. Managing relations with EPCs, equipment suppliers, and other associates through all sales stages until contract effectiveness.
  1. Analyzing client needs to develop tailored solutions and assisting with quotations and feasibility.
  1. Collaborating with peers in other regions to share best practices, learnings, solve problems, and devise new initiatives and improvements.


Requirements
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical and/or marketing & sales, particularly in engineering and construction management in the power generation market. Familiarity with working alongside utilities, project developers, and EPCs in the energy industry is highly valued. The successful candidate will be a natural communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders of various levels, providing meaningful insights and recommendations.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications
The Technical Sales Engineer should have:style='margin-top:0px;'>A degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline; an electrical engineering background is highly preferred.
  1. Strong technology expertise in renewable energy.
  1. The ability to communicate complicated technical topics across functions and regions.
  1. Clear presentation skills to effectively communicate suggestions and ideas to internal and external parties.
