Event Manager

About the Role
As an Event Manager at Merivale, you will play a key role in planning and delivering some of the most exciting events in Sydney. You will work closely with our Sales, Event Kitchens, and Event Operations teams to bring our clients' visions to life across our portfolio of 90+ venues.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage large production, multiple-day/venue events, restaurant buyouts, and weddings
- Coordinate and communicate verbally and in writing with clients regarding event details
- Produce and distribute accurate floorplans and event sheets
- Lead pre-event and post-event meetings to communicate/review/feedback as required
- Identify challenges and work with the client, sales, operations, and kitchen teams to solve these challenges
- Manage client budgets to maximize revenue and meet client needs, ensuring financials for the event and payments are correct
- Ensure all guests experience a standard of service commensurate with Merivale standards from file handover through the post-event phase
- Maintain and regularly update the database, including relevant client information
Requirements
- 2+ years of event management experience, including in-house venue event planning
- Ability to drive revenue and increase growth
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
- Be a relationship builder and have great stakeholder management skills
- A passion for all things Merivale
