About the Role

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in workers' compensation case management, with experience in managing claims beyond 78 weeks. You will be responsible for reviewing the entitlements of injured workers, assessing medical reports, and coordinating medical treatment. Strong analytical and reasoning skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Entitlement Determination: Review medical reports, rehabilitation progress, and vocational assessments to determine the worker's capacity to return to work.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Excellent communication is at the core of this role, ensuring all parties are informed about the claim status, treatment plans, and return to work expectations.
  • Coordination of Medical Treatment: Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure injured workers receive appropriate medical treatment, including approving treatment plans and scheduling appointments.
  • Payment Processing: Timely processing of payments for medical treatment, disability benefits, and other expenses related to the claim is essential.
  • Case Conferences and Reviews: Participate in case conferences with stakeholders to evaluate progress and make informed decisions about the claim.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Experience working concurrently across multiple technology platforms.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in workers' compensation case management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Relevant qualifications in allied health, social work, or a related discipline.
