Supervisor - Conference and Events Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our Conference and Events Operations team at Sofitel Brisbane Central. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising events, liaising with clients, and ensuring the highest standard of food quality and visual appeal is maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Mentor the Team: Assist in leading, mentoring, and training the Conference and Events Operations team to deliver exceptional service and create unforgettable experiences for our guests.
- Supervise Events: Supervise events, liaise with clients, and delegate duties to team members to ensure seamless execution and exceed guest expectations.
- Liaise with the Kitchen: Liaise with the kitchen to ensure the highest standard of food quality and visual appeal is maintained, aligning with Sofitel brand standards.
- Deliver Luxury Service: Ensure guest expectations are met in each event, delivering a service that exudes luxury and aligns with Sofitel brand standards.
- Promote a Strong Team Culture: Promote a strong Heartist culture and a team that is focused on providing unforgettable experiences to our guests.
- Luxury Service Focused Personality: Possess a luxury service focused personality and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Functions Experience: Have functions experience in a large hospitality events operation, with a strong understanding of event management and coordination.
- Leadership Experience: Possess experience in leading a team and supervising others, with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Rotating Roster: Be able to work a rotating roster, with the occasional late night or overnight shift.
- Passion for Food and Beverage: Have a real passion for everything food and beverage, with a strong understanding of food quality and presentation.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol: Hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification.
- High Level of Personal Presentation: Maintain a high level of personal presentation, with a focus on delivering a professional image.
- Team Spirit and Positivity: Possess team spirit and positivity, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
