About the Role

We seek an experienced Conference & Events Sales Executive to join our professional team. As a Conference & Events Sales Executive, you will be responsible for coordinating administrative tasks and providing support to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage client contracts for conferences and events
  • Prepare client correspondence, including banquet event orders and general correspondence
  • Drive upsells to achieve conversion targets and monitor success on a monthly basis
  • Communicate with guests to ensure successful event execution and profitability
  • Maintain an efficient administrative environment and achieve objectives despite circumstances
  • Participate in client entertaining, functions, familiarisations, sites, and industry network events
  • Deliver functions and events that meet and exceed client expectations
  • Follow up with clients to ensure successful events and potential repeat business
  • Liaise with the operations team to provide high-quality service and experience
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality service and professional standards
  • Assist with additional duties as required
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Conference & Events Management or relevant experience
  • Superior customer service skills and experience
  • Experience in a similar position in a 5-star hotel preferred
  • Sound computer skills in the Microsoft Computer Suite
  • Demonstrated sales skills
  • Impeccable presentation and advanced communication skills
  • A high level of organisation and ability to show initiative
  • An eye for detail and ability to liaise with multiple hotel departments
