Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Traffic Category Manager to drive strategic growth, manage supplier relationships and deliver exceptional value to our customers. As the category leader, you'll develop and execute strategies for traffic-related products, managing sales, pipeline management, margin expansion and regional/product expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Category Strategy Development: Develop and execute category strategies for traffic-related products to achieve category and company objectives.
- Team Leadership: Manage, grow, develop and lead the Traffic Team.
- Sales Management: Responsible for the overall sales of the category including pipeline/deals management, margin expansion, leading the team in driving sales and regional/product expansion.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to sales teams and general BDMs on product knowledge and category insights.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new trends and opportunities within the traffic category.
- Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to increase market share and drive sales growth.
- Supplier Relationships: Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to optimise pricing and product offerings.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure a consistent supply of products.
- Analysis and Refining Strategies: Analyse sales data and customer feedback to refine category strategies and maximise profitability.
- Candidate Profile: Proven experience in category management or related roles, preferably in the civil construction or related industries.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive Mindset: A proactive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Traffic Management/Category Experience: Experience in Traffic Management/Category is a preference.
- Competitive Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum depending on experience.
