Jaybro, a leading supplier to the civil construction industry across Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Traffic Category Manager Lead. With over 25 years of expertise in safety, fencing, civil consumables, traffic, geosynthetics, underground utilities, and more, Jaybro has built a solid reputation for exceptional service and customer satisfaction.

About the Role

This key leadership position will be responsible for driving strategic growth, managing supplier relationships, and delivering exceptional value to our customers through the Traffic category.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for traffic-related products to achieve category and company objectives.
  • Lead and manage the Traffic Team, fostering collaboration and excellence in sales performance.
  • Responsible for the overall sales of the Traffic category, including pipeline/deals management, margin expansion, and regional/product expansion.
  • Provide expert training and support to sales teams and general BDMs on product knowledge and category insights.
  • Conduct market research to identify new trends and opportunities within the traffic category.
  • Closely collaborate with the marketing team to increase market share and drive sales growth.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to optimise pricing and product offerings.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure consistent supply of products.
  • Analyse sales data and customer feedback to refine category strategies and maximise profitability.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in category management or related roles, preferably in the civil construction or related industries.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in Traffic Management/Category a strong preference.
