Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team at IPAR. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.
About the Role:This is a diverse and challenging role that requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals. You will have the opportunity to work across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Case management, including developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs;
- Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
- Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
- Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
- Completing a variety of assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling;
- General or Provisional Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors ASORC;
- Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
- Fabulous communication skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
- Compassion and kindness, as well as empathy, are essential qualities for this role;
- Well-developed time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
