We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at IPAR. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

Your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.

You will also be responsible for completing a variety of assessments using your clinical skills, including initial, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case management and caseload management
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
  • Working across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs
  • Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling
  • General or Provisional Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors ASORC or Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australia RCAA as a Rehabilitation Counsellor
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry highly regarded
  • Fabulous communication skills
  • Compassion and kindness
  • Well-developed time management skills
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
