About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at IPAR. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional services to our clients and helping them achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of clients with a range of physical and psychological conditions, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
  • Return to Work Planning: Work with clients, employers, and medical professionals to develop and implement return to work plans that meet the needs of all parties.
  • Injury Prevention and Education: Design and deliver injury prevention and education programs for employers and employees, helping to reduce the risk of workplace injuries.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with a range of stakeholders, including clients, employers, medical professionals, and other healthcare providers, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Conduct a range of assessments, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments, to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling, and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC) or the Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australia (RCAA) as a Rehabilitation Counsellor.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions.
