Job Title: Head of People

We are seeking an experienced and strategic People and Culture leader to join our team at UOW Pulse. As a key member of our senior executive leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering our People Strategy and driving business outcomes through effective talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and passionate team, driving cultural transformation and innovation. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing our People Strategy, aligned with our organizational goals and values
  • Leading and managing a team of HR professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful delivery of HR initiatives
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to our management team and staff on HR-related matters
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the HR team, ensuring compliance with HR legislation and best practice
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to drive business outcomes through effective talent management and employee engagement
About You

We are looking for a proactive and strategic leader with a strong track record in HR leadership and management. You will have:

  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team to achieve their goals
  • Strong technical knowledge in all facets of HR, with a willingness to learn and evolve with legislation and best practice approaches
  • A supportive and approachable leadership style, that extends to the whole organization
  • Solid understanding of the Australian employment landscape, including the Fair Work Act 2009 and other relevant HR legislation
  • Tertiary education and/or relevant industry experience in a HR leadership position
