The Opportunity
Sales Specialists & Consultants drive pursuit in assigned focus areas. They collaborate with Account Managers, providing specialist expertise within the sales team. These professionals build proactive campaigns, use specialized knowledge to prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities.
You Are Great At:
- Developing long-term sales pipelines to increase market share in specialized areas.
- Using specialty expertise to expand and enhance existing opportunities, building the pipeline, and driving pursuit in specialty areas.
- Selling complex products or solutions on a partnership basis.
- Acting as dedicated resources for strategic accounts.
- Servicing specialists may also sell small outsourcing deals.
- Establishing professional relationships with clients, including C-level executives for mid-to-large accounts, by developing a core understanding of unique business needs within their industry.
- Contributing to enduring executive relationships that establish consultative professionalism and promote total solution capabilities.
- Maintaining broad market and competitor knowledge to ensure credibility with customer executives.
What It Takes
- University or Bachelor's degree; Advanced University or MBA preferred.
- Directly related previous work experience.
- Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota diversity of business customers and higher-level customer interface.
- Prior selling experience includes multiple diverse sets of selling responsibilities.
- Viewed as an expert in the given field by company and customer.
- Considered a mentor of selling strategy, including designing strategy.
- Typically 3+ years of related sales experience.
- Project management skills required.
