At Opal HealthCare, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of our residents through meaningful social experiences. As a Social Event Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality activities programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging social events and activities that promote resident well-being and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with the Wellbeing Manager to create a tailored calendar of social events and experiences that appeal to our residents.
  • Assist the care team in delivering social activities and support the orientation and training of volunteers.
  • Liaise with volunteers to attend and/or host social events, fostering positive relationships and a sense of community.
  • Support the Wellbeing Manager and General Manager in Community Engagement, Social Impact, and Sustainability initiatives and projects.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and team members, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in event management or a related field (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure) and/or relevant qualification (desirable)
  • Previous experience in delivering events and activities, preferably in an aged care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
