YMCA Ballarat: Early Years Educator Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educator to join our team as an Early Years Educator, covering Kindergarten lunch sessions. As a member of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to create engaging learning experiences, build meaningful relationships with children and families, and collaborate with colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver child-centred learning activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Establish positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to National Quality Framework (NQF) guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and learning for children.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or working towards it).
  • Strong understanding of NQF, EYLF, and VEYLDF frameworks.
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC), current First Aid certification, and Police Check (or willingness to obtain them).
  • Friendly, team-oriented attitude and ability to work with different age groups in various settings.
