Delivering exceptional experiences for residents is at the heart of this role. As a Social Event and Lifestyle Coordinator at Opal HealthCare, you will be responsible for creating engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents in Mount Waverley.

In this rewarding position, you will work closely with our Wellbeing Manager to develop a tailored calendar of social events and experiences that cater to the diverse interests of our residents. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality social events and activities that promote mental health and overall well-being.

  • Develop and implement event calendars that appeal to various resident groups.
  • Liaise with volunteers to support social events and foster meaningful relationships within the community.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless delivery of social activities and events.
  • Support the orientation and training of volunteers to engage them in social events.
  • Participate in Community Engagement, Social Impact, and Sustainability initiatives and projects led by the General Manager and Wellbeing Manager.
  • Nurture positive relationships with residents, families, and team members through regular communication and engagement.

Opal HealthCare offers an attractive compensation package, including:

  • A competitive hourly rate of $28-$32 per hour, depending on experience.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in event management or a related field (desirable).
  • Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure) or relevant qualification (desirable).
  • Previous experience in event delivery and activity coordination.
  • Previous aged care experience (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
