Indigenous Community Engagement Specialist

AFL - Australian Football League is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Indigenous Community Engagement Specialist to join their team in the West Daly Region of the Northern Territory.
The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This job is based in Wadeye, Northern Territory.
About the Role
This is a 12-month maximum contract position that offers additional benefits and support including a remote living support package. The successful candidate will facilitate and oversee AFL programs, senior men, women and youth competitions in the West Daly Region.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering targeted activities aligned to focus areas through school and community-based AFL programs.
- Supporting the delivery of football carnivals and competitions for senior men, women, and youth.
- FACILITATING AFL COACH AND UMPIRE ACCREDITATION COURSES THROUGHOUT COMMUNITIES.
About You
We are seeking an energetic and values-driven individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to harnessing strong working relationships with Traditional Owners, schools and service providers, Government agencies, and partner organisations.
You will need to have:
- Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, meet deadlines and utilise on-ground support to achieve key outcomes.
- Experience in maintaining partnerships with key stakeholders and working with and proactively influencing people.
- Strong self-awareness and ability to seek appropriate support when required during difficult times.
