We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indigenous Engagement Director to lead our efforts in promoting reconciliation, cultural capability, and inclusive practices across RMIT University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice and leadership to develop and implement initiatives related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, students, and partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed sustainable reconciliation and build relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous staff, students, and community.
  • Drive staff capability in responsible practice ambitions, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff engagement, and build strong connections with Indigenous communities and organizations.
About You
  • You will have community connectedness and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and organizations.
  • A thorough understanding of systemic barriers and challenges experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including building productive relationships with diverse groups.
  • Experience in developing and managing programs, project management, and researching policy.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree and/or qualifications and experience.
  • Experience in vocational education would be highly valued.
