About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Mathematics Faculty Coordinator to join our community at Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn. The Role

As Mathematics Faculty Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of high-impact teaching practices, coordinating curriculum development, and supporting teachers in their professional growth. Your expertise will drive academic excellence, foster a positive school culture, and contribute to the college's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the implementation of evidence-based instructional strategies and best practices in mathematics education.
  • Develop and maintain a dynamic curriculum that aligns with national and state requirements, catering to diverse student needs and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with teachers to design engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations that promote student understanding and achievement.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on using data-driven instruction to inform teaching practices.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment, promoting teacher autonomy and growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes, educational research, and innovative pedagogies, sharing knowledge with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master in Teaching (Mathematics specialization).
  • Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful curricular initiatives and professional development programs.

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
