Salary Range:
$93,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus a NSW Coordinator 2 Allowance and superannuation.
About the Role
The Mathematics Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the development of teaching and learning practices within our school community. This position involves leading by example, providing guidance and support to staff, and working collaboratively with teachers to achieve excellent educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the Australian Curriculum in Mathematics and lead teaching teams in this area;
- Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance student outcomes;
- Develop and implement professional learning programs for staff, focusing on best practice in teaching and learning;
- Work closely with senior leaders to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and policies;
- Build strong relationships with parents and the broader community to promote a positive and supportive learning environment;
- Contribute to the development of the school's annual improvement plan, setting goals and targets for student achievement;
- Ensure that all staff are supported and equipped to meet the needs of students with diverse learning requirements;
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support teaching and learning;
- Provide regular reports to senior leaders on progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching qualification;
- Registration with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA);
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children's Check (WWCC) registrations;
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in developing and implementing educational programs;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and the broader community;
- A thorough understanding of the Australian Curriculum and its application in a classroom setting;
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a commitment to achieving excellent educational outcomes for all students.
