Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Hospitality and Food Technology Teacher to join our Design and Technology faculty at St Francis Xavier College.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for teaching and learning, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, developing engaging curriculum materials, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve outstanding student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver innovative lessons that cater to individual learning needs;
  • Employ effective teaching strategies to successfully implement the curriculum;
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop engaging and challenging curriculum;
  • Ensure technology is seamlessly integrated into the learning environment;
  • Report on academic achievement to parents and make appropriate levels of contact as necessary;
  • Develop learning relationships with students to promote confidence and learning;
  • Contribute to a culture of teaching and learning where teachers learn with and from each other;
  • Engage in active and continuous professional learning relevant to the discipline.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Tertiary educational qualifications in Design & Technology;
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration;
  • Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) accreditation.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
