Job Description

Kelmscott Senior High School is seeking a dedicated Business Support Officer to join their team.

The successful applicant will assist the Manager Corporate Services in the administrative, financial, marketing, corporate sponsorship and physical aspects of the school's operations.

The ideal candidate will have a friendly, positive and caring attitude; be self-motivated and organised. They should also model effective customer and administrative support service and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in collaboration with the administration team, school support staff, the school community and teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To provide administrative support to the Manager Corporate Services and other members of the corporate services team
  2. To assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of business operations, systems and plans
  3. To provide financial management support, including data analysis, interpretation and reporting
  4. To work effectively as part of a team and provide excellent customer service

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  1. Demonstrated considerable experience providing input and effective support to the development, management, implementation and monitoring of business operations, systems and plans
  2. Demonstrated well-developed financial management skills, including data analysis, interpretation and reporting, and the ability to provide recommendations
  3. Demonstrated sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  4. Demonstrated sound conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify appropriate solutions

  1. Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
  2. Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start
  3. Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit
