Highly Experienced English Educator Wanted for Canberra School

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English teacher to join our community at St John Paul II College in Canberra.
As an English teacher at JPC, you will work with colleagues to develop and implement high-quality curriculum programs that cater to diverse learning needs. You will create engaging lesson plans, use effective teaching strategies, and foster a positive learning environment that promotes student growth and achievement.
You will also have opportunities to participate in professional development programs, including training on evidence-based teaching practices and access to resources that support innovative pedagogy.
The successful candidate will be a proactive member of our team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to creating inclusive and safe learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging lesson plans and deliver high-quality instruction to students
- Use various teaching techniques to meet individual student needs
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
- Participate in school events and contribute to a positive school culture
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor of Teaching or Master in Teaching qualification
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children's Check (WWCC) registrations
- Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) registration and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation
- Demonstrated expertise in English teaching and learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary: $65,000 - $110,000 per year (dependent on experience)
