About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Compare the Market. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing critical insights and analysis to inform our marketing strategies and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Marketing Expenditure Analysis: Collect and assess data on marketing campaign spend and results, analyzing the effectiveness of initiatives to inform CTM Management on specific return metrics.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Become a key stakeholder in quarterly and annual forecasts, evaluating historical trend analysis, assumed market trends, and planned initiatives to develop both spend and operational KPI measures.
  • Business Case Development: Collaborate with marketing leaders to develop business cases for specific initiatives, including financial return benchmarking against key KPI metrics.
  • Expense Reporting: Generate monthly expense reports for each channel and vertical, collaborating with the Group Finance department to ensure spend is accurately recorded.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Provide management with information by reviewing and summarizing key data, preparing reports, and presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Industry Research: Research and analyze industry and company-specific trends to identify new product/market opportunities.
  • Due Diligence Support: Assist in the management and execution of due diligence processes.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, or economics.
  • Experience and Skills: Previous experience in forecasting and analysis is advantageous. Proficiency in intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including the ability to utilize Excel functions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Capability to collaborate effectively in a team environment or autonomously, with adept prioritization skills. Excellent verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
