We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Expert to join our team at Auto & General. As a key member of our digital solutions team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative software solutions to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Develop Software Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop software solutions that meet business requirements and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Lead Solution Designs and Development: Leverage your expertise to lead solution designs and development of our modern architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Contribute to CI/CD Pipeline and AWS Deployment: Help build out our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline and AWS deployment infrastructure to ensure seamless deployment and delivery of software solutions.
- Take Ownership of Product: Take ownership of the product, contribute improvement and innovation ideas, and drive the development of new features and functionalities.
- Establish Best Practice Testing: Establish and own best practice testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with Agile Team: Work collaboratively within a cross-functional Agile team, contributing to development, deployment, and support activities as required.
- Essential: At least 2+ years of software development or relevant industry experience, knowledge of modern front-end architecture, solid understanding of Angular 2+, JavaScript (ES and TypeScript), experience in or knowledge of application and system monitoring tools, and ability to work in the Atlassian suite of products (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo).
- Advantageous: Familiarity with other modern web frameworks such as React or Vue, understanding of cloud deployment with Docker and AWS, understanding of security implications for web applications (OWASP), experience in or knowledge of GitLab DevOps Platform, and a background in financial services applications.
