Compliance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Auto & General. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and support across various business functions, ensuring regulatory compliance and upholding our commitment to integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and high-quality regulatory and compliance advice to internal teams, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine and enhance our Compliance Framework, ensuring it remains effective and efficient in meeting regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation and achievement of our Compliance Plan objectives, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance risks are mitigated.
- Review and advise on compliance aspects of collateral materials, including advertising and training content, to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
- Draft and update Compliance policies to reflect regulatory changes and business needs, ensuring they are clear, concise, and effective.
- Contribute to assurance activities and monitoring efforts to identify and mitigate compliance risks, ensuring our business remains compliant and risk-free.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvements to enhance compliance effectiveness, driving efficiency and productivity.
- Exemplify the values of Auto & General in all interactions with stakeholders, demonstrating a commitment to integrity and excellence.
- Strong decision-making abilities, coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring effective and timely resolution of compliance issues.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, able to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and drive compliance initiatives.
- Negotiation prowess to balance compliance requirements with business needs, ensuring effective and efficient solutions.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret regulatory changes and communicate their implications, ensuring compliance risks are mitigated.
- Experience in compliance, risk, or legal roles within the financial services sector, preferably in general insurance, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of compliance standards, legislative requirements, and industry codes, with a focus on the Australian market, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Qualifications in Compliance, Legal, Risk, or Audit fields are highly regarded, demonstrating a strong foundation in compliance and regulatory expertise.
