Operational Risk Management Specialist

The RoleAs our new Operational Risk Management Specialist, you will support the leadership team in delivering our risk management strategy. You will provide insight, analysis, and recommendations to protect our organisational resources and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and review our Business Continuity Framework, including reviewing and analysing business impact assessments and assisting in the development of recovery plans.
- Improve internal risk controls, detection, and response capabilities.
- Act as an internal subject matter expert in providing risk and compliance advice, expertise, and education, as well as coordinating and facilitating the delivery of specific training and development initiatives.
- Perform risk assessments for data protection, supplier management, and risk management programs, and ensure Risk Assessments are in place for the Department that you are responsible for.
- Monitor the management of incidents, audit actions, and treatment plans, including managing the response to regulator requests and regulatory change.
- 2+ years of experience working within a similar position and within the financial services industry.
- Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory, and compliance obligations to operate in the FSR environment.
- Ability to build and sustain effective relationships both internally and externally, along with strong negotiation and influencing ability.
