Business Development Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Holiday Inn team as a Business Development Manager, where you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and developing sales and marketing strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
Key Responsibilities- Market Research and Analysis
Support the Director of Sales and Marketing in conducting market research to identify target markets, analyzing competitors, and understanding the local business environment to ensure the hotel's product and services remain competitive.
Sales and Marketing Strategy DevelopmentContribute to the creation and development of sales and marketing strategies tailored to specific market segments, including pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and sales tactics to attract customers.
Sales Plan Implementation and Performance MonitoringDevelop and implement sales plans to drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, and boost volume and food & beverage sales.
Client Relationship ManagementEstablish and maintain relationships with potential clients, corporate partners, event planners, and local businesses through networking and attending industry events to promote the hotel and generate leads.
Partnership DevelopmentIdentify and negotiate partnerships with relevant organizations, such as airlines, tour operators, and travel agencies to drive bookings and increase brand visibility.
Conference and Event Lead Sourcing and ConversionPursue opportunities to source and convert conference and event leads, and successfully shift business from the competition through active engagement with customers via face-to-face or voice conversations.
Business Plan ContributionProvide input to the hotel's business plan and vision regarding market segments and accounts.
Performance AchievementAchieve all personal and team sales goals to help maximize profitability.
Performance Monitoring and ReportingProduce and review monthly reports to monitor performance.
Requirements- Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business/Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
ExperienceMinimum 2 years of experience in a sales capacity within Australasia with a proven track record of success.
SkillsStrong understanding of all aspects of new business hunting and strategies for key account management.
SkillsExcellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
SkillsStrong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
SkillsExcellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
SkillsProactive approach to developing and maintaining strong relations with clients and stakeholders.
