About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Business Development Manager VIC, where you will play a key role in supporting the sales of our Viscount Intellicrate, Nally Folding Megabin, Nally Megabin, and other existing products and services within the Viscount Reuse range to new and existing Victorian and Tasmanian-based customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Assist Product Penetration: Develop and assist product penetration to new and existing customers and markets, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Establish Long-Lasting Relationships: Establish long-lasting relationships with fresh produce growers, poultry, and other protein suppliers based in VIC & TAS, building trust and credibility with key stakeholders.
  • Review and Assist with Strategy Positioning: Review and assist with the establishment of appropriate strategy positioning of selling price, selling structure, and gross contribution, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop New Business: Develop new business by generating, following up leads, and initiating customer contact, leveraging your sales and marketing expertise to drive growth.
  • Forecasting and Supply Continuity: Forecast and work closely with operations and customer service to ensure supply continuity, ensuring seamless delivery of products and services to customers.
  • Market Research and Intelligence: Participate, develop, and contribute toward market research and intelligence, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
  • Support New Product and Service Implementation: Support the implementation of new products and services, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful launch and adoption.
Requirements
  • 5 Years' Experience in Sales-Based Role: 5 years' experience in a sales-based role within the supply chain, packaging, or produce industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to communicate, present, assert, and speak to all levels of stakeholders involved, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Stakeholders: Ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders to build relationships, influence, manage conflicts, and navigate through issues arising.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to plan and manage projects, manage risk, forecast, time, and teams working on ongoing projects.
  • Research and Strategic Analysis Skills: Strong research and strategic analysis skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Microsoft Office, SAP, and CRM Software: High competency working with Microsoft Office, SAP, and CRM software, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  • Circular Economy Understanding: Understanding of the circular economy and its application in business, with the ability to communicate this message internally and externally as part of the company values and personal ethos.
