Job Description

As Executive Pastry Leader, you will oversee the pastry section to maximise Food and Beverage profitability. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will lead a team of skilled pastry chefs to implement menus designed to deliver innovation and project Sofitel Adelaide as a luxury hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the pastry team to ensure high-quality food production and presentation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure the best products and prices
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to create innovative menu options that showcase Sofitel Adelaide's commitment to excellence
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and hygienic work environment

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar leadership role, with high-end dining operations
  • Relevant trade qualification. French trained or experience is preferable
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and train a team of pastry chefs
  • Able to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
