About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Placement, Global Corporate to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our Commercial Risk and Global Corporate Leadership teams, you will play a critical role in shaping our client delivery strategies and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our client engagement strategies for Global Corporate, working closely with senior leaders across the industry.
  • Refine and build our Go to Market Strategies (GTMS) for Global Corporate, collaborating with the Head of Strategic Platforms to deliver broader capability and adoption.
  • Implement and drive our market engagement strategies, serving as a face of Aon in the market at a senior leadership level.
  • Lead Australia's engagement of the Global Broking Centres, ensuring appropriate resource and service levels across all product teams.
  • Drive innovation and standard methodology, improving connectivity with all areas of Commercial Risk to enhance client experience and outcomes.
  • Lead our Market Insights thought leadership, responsible for market updates and internal product training, as well as assisting carrier partners navigate Aon via tools like the Aon Carrier Days.
  • Coordinate the broader placement team in an overarching risk transfer strategy, playing an active part in the strategy and negotiation of client risks within our Global Corporate & Specialty Solutions segments.
  • Create and champion a culture of sharing insights with clients, carriers, and colleagues from Aon's data & analytics platforms to drive better and more informed decision making.
  • Strategic Account Manager on nominated accounts.

Aon Australia places in excess of $4.15bn of Premium into the local and global insurance market. This role will join a core group of senior leaders within Commercial Risk in Australia, including the leaders of Strategic Platforms, One UW, Claims & Consulting leads.

Within Commercial Risk, we will bring the content, capability, and innovation to support the client delivery teams, such as Affinity, Global Corporate, Specialty Solutions, and the National Segments. This clear separation of tasks and capability will allow our client delivery teams to bring all areas of the firm to our clients while allowing our solution line colleagues to focus on delivering new and expanded capability and innovation, leveraging our global connectivity.

Requirements
  • Strong product knowledge and experience across the major product lines.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders across the industry.
  • Proven track record in articulating an insurer engagement strategy.
  • Outstanding negotiation and communication skills, as well as a strong personality that can work in a constantly evolving and fluid role.
  • Robust insurer network at all levels and ability to communicate and negotiate well with insurers.
  • Ability to deal with conflict and achieve resolution when resistance is present.
  • Exposure to Captive structures and sophisticated placements, as well as good knowledge of the International hubs of London and Singapore.
  • Ability to update and expand Aon IQ and 'storytelling' and connecting internal colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to influence, lead, and educate colleagues in circumstances where obstacles and objections may arise in the ordinary course of implementing strategies.
  • Ability to create a global network and engage global colleagues to bring standard process to Australia.
