Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Finance professional to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our Corporate Finance business, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Regional Head of Corporate Finance – Asia Pacific in building out the Corporate Finance business in Australia.

Main Responsibilities
  • Originate new business opportunities and support the execution of M&A and Equity Private Placement (EPP) transactions in the Energy Transition sector, covering Asia Pacific with a key focus on Australia.
  • Hold a key leadership/coordination role in the transaction execution process on a day-to-day basis, performing financial modeling, including valuation and pricing analyses.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, pitchbooks, and marketing materials to drive the initiation of new client relationships and expand the business franchise across industries.
  • Assist in maintaining strong client relations during and after the deal execution process, working in collaboration with other team members and colleagues from the financing business lines based locally and overseas.
  • Provide guidance and development of junior team members, including appropriate delegation and review of tasks, and maintain strong connectivity with the market, understanding the needs of different corporate clients and industry groups.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in M&A or Investment Banking.
  • Proven capability of building strong relationships with corporate clients, with demonstrable communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of M&A transactions, modeling, and analytics, with a strong ability in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Behavioral competencies required include ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships, with commercial acumen, strong corporate knowledge, and persistence in addressing clients' needs.
