At Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, we are seeking a highly skilled Chief Workforce Officer to join our team in Alice Springs.

About the Role

The Chief Workforce Officer is a key senior management position that plays a crucial organisational role in ensuring the Congress has a trained and dedicated workforce to service the needs of its community.

This position reports to the HR General Manager and leads the day-to-day operational responsibilities of the Congress Employee Relations (ER) and Recruitment teams.

We are looking for an individual with experience leading a HR team who is looking to advance their career towards senior or executive management.

The ideal candidate will have university qualifications in a relevant field and strong knowledge of industrial relations and contemporary management practices.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, build rapport and manage conflict are crucial in this position, as well as an ethical approach to HR practice.

Strategic thinking with a positive attitude to problem solving is a must.

About Us

Congress has expanded to become the largest Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation in the Northern Territory with around 500 staff (and growing).

It is one of the most experienced Aboriginal primary health care services in the country.

Congress provides a comprehensive, holistic and culturally appropriate primary healthcare service to Aboriginal people living in and nearby Alice Springs, including five remote communities.
