We are seeking a highly skilled Resource Planning Strategist to join our Workforce Planning team at Qantas. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing strategies to optimize resource allocation, minimize operational costs, and drive positive business outcomes.

About the Role:

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at our Mascot Corporate Campus, working on a 7-day rotating shift roster. As a Resource Planning Strategist, you will be responsible for managing the forward planning process to ensure that operational requirements are met while minimizing late shift and roster changes that inflate operational costs.

You will analyze operational and staffing impacts for the roster in relation to workload demand requirements and identify actions to be taken in relation to operations and staffing impacts within given budgeting parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize resource allocation and minimize operational costs">
  • Analyze operational and staffing impacts for the roster and develop recommendations for improvement">
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and implementation of plans">
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports related to workforce planning and scheduling">
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in workforce planning and scheduling">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A high level of experience in business partnering and providing effective solutions to key stakeholders">
  • Experience in resource allocation/planning/coordinating functions within an appropriate industry environment">
  • Proficiency using GroundStar planning and rostering systems (advantageous)">
  • Highly developed problem-solving, analytical, planning, organizational skillsets with excellent decision-making skills">
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and solve problems under day-to-day operational pressures and take accountability for their work to ensure business and financial objectives are met">
  • High level of computer literacy skills">
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Company Policy, Awards/EBAs, and airport operations procedures">
  • Ability to model, influence, and encourage positive behaviors">
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills">
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant industry experience in a finance or logistics/planning field">
