About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Technician to join our team at JP Smith Recruitment & HR. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, either on-site or remotely. Your primary focus will be on troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as providing level 2/3 technical support over the phone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to clients on-site and remotely
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Provide level 2/3 technical support over the phone
  • Manage and troubleshoot Hyper-V environments
  • Understand and troubleshoot DNS issues
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
  • Work collaboratively with the team to resolve technical issues
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a level 2 or higher helpdesk role
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Hyper-V environments
  • Solid understanding of DNS and experience in troubleshooting DNS issues
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Technical understanding and interest in providing whole-of-business IT support
  • Familiarity with Microsoft systems, including the Microsoft 365 cloud suite
  • A valid Australian driver's licence (Class P or Open) and vehicle
  • A quiet and professional work space for remote work
  • Ability to apply safe work practices when troubleshooting networking and internet issues
