About the Role

We are in search of a Senior Safety Coordinator to become part of our HSEQ team on a significant project. The primary aim of this position is to:

  1. Identify and manage safety hazards on site
  2. Support the attainment of project goals
  3. Ensure adherence to Safety policies and procedures
  4. Foster a proactive safety environment

Additional duties include:

  1. Guiding site personnel to enhance workplace health and safety
  2. Performing site evaluations and audits, providing constructive feedback
  3. Evaluating risks and opportunities for advancing Safety Management
  4. Assisting Project Managers with timely safety-related guidance
  5. Conducting investigations of incidents as required
  6. Offering recommendations for corrective measures to avert future occurrences
Successful Applicant Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A passionate and proactive approach to safety
  2. A positive, can-do attitude with a collaborative mindset
  3. A readiness to work in partnership with others
  4. Certificate IV qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
  5. Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training
  6. Certification as a Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator
  7. Basic First Aid Certification
