We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at Coles Group. As a key member of our Operations and Project team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our team members and customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely advice and support to our Operations and Project team to deliver a safe and healthy workplace. This will involve working closely with our Automation Partner, contractors, and Operational team to ensure safety is captured in key decisions.
You will be involved in testing of automation equipment, safety system implementation during ramping up a site, and setting baseline safety expectations for team members, contractors, and visitors alike. Additionally, you will coach and mentor the operational team regarding Making Safer Choices Together, and support the team to make the safe decision every time.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background working in an operational FMCG distribution Centre, Manufacturing or Automated Environment, and will possess a proven record of providing technical expertise and coaching all various operational levels. You will also have the ability to verify implementation of controls and activities based on supplied documentation, and demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring operational teams in safety topics such as incident response.
We are looking for a strong communicator who can positively influence and collaborate for great outcomes. You will also have knowledge of relevant H&S Legislation & understanding of Dangerous Goods.
