**The Role**
Do you have an enthusiastic outlook and a keen governance and administration mind? Do you want to work with an energetic team focused on continuous improvement and collaborative problem solving?
We currently have a Governance Officer role available for a fixed term period of 12 months. The Governance function is located in the Office of the CEO and Council. As a Governance Officer you will play a key role in supporting the production of meeting agendas for Council and the Executive Leadership team. You will have great interpersonal skills and will support report writers to produce consistent and quality reports. You will provide a point of reference to officers throughout the organisation in relation to governance systems and processes. You will be provided with full training, support and guidance to effectively achieve great outcomes. To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and possess a customer centric focus that aligns with Council policy, values and behaviours.
**About you**
You will have:

- Extensive experience in an governance or administrative support role.
- Writing skills to draft correspondence, incorporating a high attention to detail, grammar, spelling and proof reading.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, especially in relation to gaining co-operation, customer service and overall communication.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a high volume workload where stringent timelines are observed.
- Advanced computer literacy and keyboarding skills.
