**The Role**
Make a difference in our community

The Conservation Officer (Interpretation and Engagement) will implement a program of works that focus on ecological burning and biodiversity improvements of Council’s conservation reserves. This position will plan and deliver annual burn programs, conservation works projects and support community engagement activities which promote awareness of local biodiversity. The role includes existing plans and programs with scope for continuous improvement and innovation of the services.

**About you**
We are seeking a passionate individual with a background in conservation and public land management able to work collaboratively in a small team environment. You have technical experience with ecological burning and landscape restoration programs and project delivery skills working with contractors and specialist providers to achieve biodiversity improvements. You can communicate the outcomes of these works through clear reporting to a range of stakeholders.
