The Project Officer will support the Manager, Transformation Management Office (TMO) in the Forest, Fire and Regions Group (FFRG) in the delivery of the Group’s Transformation Program.

The newly established TMO in the Office of the Deputy Secretary (ODS) is responsible for delivering FFRG's priority transformation initiatives that make up the Transformation Program of work. The TMO is a high-performing function and key enabler of FFRG's evolution towards a future fit organisation. The TMO supports the Department's transformational priorities in FFRG as well as FFRG's vision for thriving environments and communities.

This role will provide project management support to the TMO including but not limited to: scheduling, governance, reporting, risk management, project administration, records management, project delivery, and support for change management activities. This role will support one or more simultaneous projects in an agile manner in line with the TMO's requirements and will be involved throughout the project lifecycle. The role will also liaise closely with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

**Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications**
- Relevant tertiary qualification would be desirable
- Accreditation in a formal project management methodology such as Project Management Excellence or PRINCE2 or other is desirable
- Knowledge and experience of Forest and Fire Management policy, procedures and systems is desirable

**This is a fixed term position available for a period of 24 months.**
