Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to become a vital part of our esteemed team.

Role Responsibilities

In this pivotal position, you will spearhead project leadership for designated programs and initiatives, focusing on profitability, safety, and client relations. Your expertise will be crucial in securing new opportunities in the region. This is a full-time hybrid role.

Key Duties Include:

  • Acquire a thorough understanding of primary contract stipulations and implement this knowledge in project operations.
  • Engage with clients on assigned projects to foster and maintain positive relationships.
  • Assist in the project/client development process through presentations and marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Project Director in crafting proposals.
  • Ensure safety objectives are met on all assigned projects.
  • Coordinate resources effectively to meet project targets.
  • Oversee the formulation and upkeep of preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution strategies.
  • Facilitate the review and approval process with the Project Executive and/or Director of Operations, ensuring clear communication with the project team.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project scopes of work.
  • Supervise the development and management of project timelines, including detailed activity lists, durations, and sequencing.
  • Gain insight into the project budget and identify any discrepancies during project execution.
  • Monitor and report on project expenditures.
  • Work closely with the Project Director to develop change control documentation and associated financial records.
  • Support the Commercial team in preparing client invoices.
  • Understand quality requirements in design and construction, ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards.
  • Oversee safety resource coordination to ensure site safety and address any nonconformities.
  • Review design content and quality, coordinating necessary revisions for compliance with foundational documents, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage the procurement and coordination of all necessary project resources.
  • Supervise the preparation of subcontracts, purchase orders, change control documentation, and related financial records.
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor invoices.
  • Facilitate communication among project participants and document all interactions.
  • Collaborate with Document Control to ensure proper distribution, review, and storage of project documents.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Mentor junior Project Managers/Engineers to foster their professional growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent technical qualification.
  • 15+ years of experience in Engineering, Project Delivery, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a Project Management capacity, preferably within the Life Sciences sector.
  • Experience in vendor management, construction management, and client relations.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate technical work while fostering cooperation among team members.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage professional staff effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cGMPs as they pertain to process design and equipment specifications.
