**About the Department**:
The Department of Treasury and Finance is the lead agency for economic, social and financial policy outcomes. We play a vital role in providing financial services to the community and economic and fiscal policy advice to the Government of South Australia.

**About the opportunity**:
The Business Support Officer will contribute to the provision of quality support services to the Office of the Treasurer through the efficient and effective handling of Ministerial correspondence including, but not limited to, maintaining the integrity of records management systems, and processing of incoming/outgoing correspondence and correspondence preparation, as well as understanding and providing advice relating to State Records requirements.

The Business Support Officer will also be responsible for managing the reception area of the office, including greeting visitors and answering the office’s main phone line. The role provides general administrative support to the Office Manager and across the Treasurer’s Office to ensure the efficient running of administrative/correspondence processes, as well as liaising with members of the public, other ministerial offices and the Treasurer’s agencies.

**About you**:
You will have demonstrated experience in:

- communicating effectively and establishing credibility and good working relationships with people at all levels
- maintaining confidentiality and integrity in dealing with issues of a sensitive and/or political nature
- adapting quickly and successfully to varying work demands, to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of accuracy
- exercising initiative, determining priorities and working effectively under limited supervision to manage records management systems
