**Your new role**

As an ASO3 Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, such as:

- Assisting Executive and Senior Managers with operational account management advice.
- Accurate and timely processing of invoices through the Basware NG system.
- Liaising with relevant internal and external clients in relation to the processing and reporting of invoices, reimbursements, and allowances.
- Providing regular reports from the system and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.
- Processing credit card transactions for the Department through the EMS credit card management system.
- Reviewing and updating procedures on an ongoing basis to identify and recommend efficiencies and maintaining associated documentation.
- Maintaining knowledge and understanding of Treasurer Instructions in relation to procurement, purchasing, invoice management and processes.
- Contributing to the operation and integrity of the Branch accounts payable process and ensure accounts payable functions are delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Providing training and technical advice to staff in accounts payable and accounting activities to ensure timely completion of accounts payable activities.
- Undertaking a range of operational activities associated with accounts payable & receivable including providing an escalation point for complex queries, providing advice to staff and vendors, invoicing and claims management and other relevant duties as required.
- Maintaining the records of accounts payable by filing all source documents and system generated reports and prepare reports and other documentation for management when requested.

**What you’ll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A relevant qualification in business administration, accounting, or finance, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in providing administrative and financial support in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to analyse and interpret data and produce reports
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software, such as Basware NG and EMS
- Knowledge of government policies and procedures, especially in relation to accounts payable and receivable
- A current driver’s license and willingness to travel as required
