**We are actively looking for a skilled and flexible Business Office Clerk.**
In this role you will:
- **Provide administrative support to patients and their families** upon arrival at the hospital.
- Assist reception, administration, and clinical teams by **coordinating clerical needs from admission to discharge for patients.**
**Key responsibilities of this job include**:
- Admission scheduling processes to ensure appropriate bed management and utilisation.
- Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the front desk.
- Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departments.
- Work alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients.
- Compilation and management of patient admission papers and clinical notes.
**Your Skills and Experiences**
To excel in this position, you will need **enthusiasm for customer service, adeptness in managing a busy environment, empathy, and strong communication skills**. Comfortable working in a team and diverse healthcare professionals and non-clinical staff.
**You will also bring**:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior experience in **medical administration or reception preferred but not essential**:
- **Familiarity with Patient Management Systems**, preferably Meditech, advantageous but not mandatory.
**Remunerations**:Attractive hourly rates + casual loading + superannuation based on experience level
**About the Hospital**
Our hospital has 11 operating theatres, large day surgery centre, a High Dependency Unit, a Dermatology Centre and advanced interventional imaging services (including MRI, CT and Ultrasound), Comprehensive Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Pre-Admission and Discharge Planning services are also available onsite.
