**About the Role**
As a Business Office Clerk, you are responsible for providing **administrative support and assistance to patients and their families upon their arrival at the hospital. **You will be passionate about working in front facing customer service role.
**Responsibilities of this job may include**:
- Admission scheduling processes to ensure appropriate bed management and utilisation
- Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the front desk.
- Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departments.
- Compilation and management of patient admission papers and clinical notes.
- Reception duties including phone management, filing, collecting monies for admissions
- **Exceptional patient centred care and customer service**:
- **Flexibility to work shifts including days, evenings and weekends**:
- Attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
- Good time management in a busy professional hospital setting
- Strong IT skills
- Very high level of communication required both verbally and written.
**Key to this role will also be the availability to work a rotating roster.**
**About You**
To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a strong administrative skillset and a passion for customer service and enjoys being part of a busy environment.
**You will also bring**:
- Computer literacy including the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Experience in a hospital setting in a similar role will be highly desired, though not essential.
- **Experience with Patient Management Systems is highly desired not essential**:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage a busy workflow of admissions and discharges
- Comfortable working in a team of doctors, nurses, pathologists, administrators, and non-clinical staff.
**Remuneration**
On offer is base hourly rate ranging from **$27.47** + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances
