Job Description
The Key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager role are;
- Achieve sales targets through lead generation, client acquisition, and successful tendering for medium to large contracts.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the commercial, healthcare, retail, and industrial sectors.
- Manage and optimise costs to meet budget expectations while driving revenue growth.
- Conduct cold calls and lead generation activities to build a robust pipeline of potential clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the management team to align business development strategies with company goals.
- Report on sales performance and market trends, providing insights for continuous improvement
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the Business Development Manager role should have;
- A proven track record in hunting new business, ideally within the services industry.
- Strong sales acumen with experience in lead generation and securing contracts.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in identifying new business opportunities and driving growth within the Sydney territory.
- Solid understanding of budget management and cost optimisation.
- Comfortable performing cold calls and lead generation activities.
- Proactive, innovative, and results-driven approach.
- Experience in commercial, healthcare, retail, or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
