The Role
This position will support the main Hospital Reception. The main reception is open 6am-8pm weekdays and 8am-8pm weekends and Public Holidays.
The Reception/Administration Officer Will Be Responsible For
- Providing a comprehensive customer focused service to both internal and external customers in relation to all aspects of Admissions and Reception
- Providing information to the hospitals external and internal clients via telephone or in person and directing them to the appropriate areas in an efficient, friendly and effective manner.
- Providing clerical support to the Admissions and Reception team ensuring an effective, financially informed and efficient presentation and admission process for all patients.
The Reception/Administration Officer will fulfil their role within the team with the support of the Administration Team leader and the Administration Manager.
Essential Criteria
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster
- Excellent customer services skills
- Well-developed communication skills to work as part of a team with a willingness to learn new skills;
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in a Medical Practice or Hospital
- Some knowledge of the private health sector including health fund contract tables/member eligibility
- Medical Terminology
