We are an established and fast growing young women garment wholesale company based in the Surry Hills. An exciting opportunity exists to joint our team as an experienced Garment Production Coordinator.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the critical path from sample development through to bulk production and delivery. You will work with the Brand manager in all areas of the business. It is essential the successful candidate has to have women's wear fashion apparel experience .The ideal candidate we are seeking is someone who is flexible, strong organisation skills & can multi task within a fast paced environment. Fluent Mandarin speaking is essential.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with the brand designer and sales manager
  • Attending weekly fit meetings and placing orders
  • Liaise with china factories in all aspects of critical path to ensure on-time delivery and meet strict quality standards
  • Customer product development and placing orders to china factories
  • Have done fashion production role before and understands garment and costing aspect of clothing manufacturing
  • Accounts knowledge / good with excel and numbers
  • Diligent / Attentive / Careful attributes
  • Prepare and translation of sample / trim packs to send to china factories
  • Processing orders for store repeats and chasing weekly delivery dates on-time
  • Quality control of garments to ensure they meet fitting and quality requirements and measurement specs.
  • Set up SKU/Order information our company's Indigo8 system

Candidate requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience within an Australian women's wear fashion company
  • Fluent Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) for technical communication with Chinese suppliers and translating production documentation
  • Strong technical, fabric, garment construction and Quality control knowledge is essential.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to manage a challenging workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Logistics experience in booking freight forwarders
  • Prompt action and good eyes for details
  • Intermediate Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis for production tracking and costing
  • Relevant qualification in Fashion Design, Textiles, Production Management, or equivalent industry experience
