Started in 1968, Cue Clothing Co. is a leading fashion retailer comprising of two established brands Cue and Veronika Maine. All of our collections are designed in our Sydney studio and produced in considered quantities with a focus on lasting pieces made from premium fabrics.

We're looking for a passionate and detail-driven Design Assistant to support our dynamic CUE Design team as we continue to innovate and inspire with every season.

About the Role

As a CUE Design Assistant, you'll work closely with our designers to help translate creative ideas into finished garments. From supporting fittings to preparing design documentation, you'll be hands-on throughout the entire design process, ensuring our collections reflect the brand's signature craftsmanship and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist designers with trend research, technical sketches, and print recolouring using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Support the development and maintenance of tech packs, ensuring all style information is accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate fittings and the sampling process, taking detailed notes and communicating updates clearly.
  • Maintain and prepare design documentation including retail line sheets, design trackers, Style Arcade, and the Cue design server.
  • Help keep the design room, showroom, and archives organised and aligned with brand standards.
  • Assist with seasonal photo shoots, product launches, and roadshows.
  • Support the sourcing, management, and development of accessories and trims.
  • Write engaging online product descriptions for all styles.

About You

  • Relevant qualification in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar design assistant role within the fashion industry.
  • Hands-on experience with sample management and liaising across design and production teams.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive with excellent communication skills.
  • Collaborative and creative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
