Screen Producers Australia are on the hunt for a proactive, detail-oriented coordinator to work with the Industry Programs Manager, to assist with the Content Programming at Australia's premier screen business and networking event SCREEN FOREVER, by coordinating speakers, moderators, and session producers through our digital event platform and website.
If you are super organised, calm under pressure and a natural planner who thrives in a busy role, we want to meet you. To be successful in this role you need to have excellent communication skills, a professional approach & pride yourself on being able to prioritise, organise and manage competing tasks effectively and efficiently.
Ideally you have experience working in the film and television industry, conferences, festivals or major events and an interest in the Australian Screen industry is an absolute must.
About SCREEN FOREVER & SPA CONNECT
Presented by Screen Producers Australia, SCREEN FOREVER is Australia's premier event for screen industry professionals. Delegates converge over three days for networking events, keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops, roundtables and pitching opportunities.
SPA Connect is the business end of the SCREEN FOREVER Conference. This is where buyers and sellers connect to discuss creative projects, develop deals, and forge alliances.
Key Accountabilities
- The programming co ordinator supports the Industry Programs Manager to deliver all aspects of the program of the SCREEN FOREVER conference including coordination of speakers and sessions as part of the program
- You will work directly with the Industry Programs Manager and across the small and nimble team who plan, build and execute a multi-day, multi-platform conference
- You are a proactive and friendly contact point for the conference speakers, producers and moderators
- You maintain discretion at all times, particularly when party to sensitive information
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Industry Programs Manager on administrative and content aspects of the program including brainstorming session ideas and speakers
- Participating in conference team meetings and advisory board meetings as required
- Liaise with partners and stakeholders to gather session content and media, ensuring slides and materials are current and delivered on time.
- Collaborate with the Industry Programs Manager to create runsheets, session scripts, and coordinate in-person introductions.
- Work closely with the production team to meet content deadlines.
- Contribute to session planning, speaker ideas, and team meetings, including taking minutes.
- Handle speaker travel logistics and respond to speaker-related queries.
- Adapting speaker contracts to suit each speaker and sending them for approval and signing
- Preparing session script templates for the programmer to fill and assist in sending to speakers, session producers and moderators
- Liaising with program partners and stakeholders as needed to collate any relevant content or media to be shown during sessions including being responsible for ensuring session content slides are updated and accurate both pre and during conference
- Managing the timely delivery of session content to the production team
Requirements
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and keep calm under pressure. Highly organised and detail oriented.
- Screen Industry / production experience highly regarded and sought after
- A natural team player. Willingness to support others and communicate effectively to ensure we achieve great things together.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify solutions to complex scheduling challenges.
- Experience using a Content Management System for web publishing.
- Confident in sourcing, saving, and publishing large amounts of information and assets
- Open to working extra hours in the lead up to Screen Forever as needed.
- Must be available to travel to and work on the Gold Coast on 26
th
April to 1
st
May 2026 (flights and accommodation provided) - Available from 5

January 2025 until 1
st
May with no major leave during this time
The role requires office attendance at the SPA offices in Surry Hills.
