Garment Technician

With over 20 years of experience in the ladies fashion industry, our company is proud to supply one of Australia's largest retail groups with high-quality womenswear. We are now seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Garment Technician to play a pivotal role in our product development and production process.

In this exciting opportunity, you will work closely with our offshore suppliers and Australian retail partners to ensure every garment meets the highest standard – from concept to bulk production. Your expertise in pattern making, garment construction (both woven and knit), and fit evaluation will be crucial in developing well-fitting, high-quality garments that delight our customers.

This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you will:

• Develop and maintain accurate technical garment specifications and size charts
• Attend and lead fit sessions, documenting fit comments and updating specifications
• Oversee the sample development process with offshore suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
• Liaise with production teams, trims/accessories suppliers, and retail buyers to meet approval timelines
• Measure and quality-check all samples (1st, 2nd, pre-production, and bulk) to guarantee smooth production flow

To succeed in this role, you should bring 5–10 years' experience in womenswear garment technology (plus-size experience highly regarded as is Swimwear experience), strong knowledge of pattern making and garment construction, and excellent communication skills to liaise with our offshore partners effectively.
